AP Math

AP Calculus AB, BC or Statistics exams are daunting and time consuming. The sheer volume of information packed into many of the exams is more than most students are used to. In fact, it is more than many AP math classes can actually cover, given that the exams occur in May. Students are at a disadvantage here, and most actually end up teaching themselves through a generic AP exam preparation book while doing the regular coursework at the same time.

Needless to say, this is hardly ideal. Student’s performance on the AP calculus or statistics exam won’t be optimal, and their regular coursework could suffer as well.  So take advantage of AP Plus® Math Course. We have extremely experienced academic experts in the very fields you need to understand in order to master the AP exam.  Take all of the stress out of your studying, and let an expert organize your path to a 5 for you.  Whether you’re seeking help over the course of the year, or just a quick boost here and there, we are happy to provide you with the highest quality, most personalized AP tutoring and exam prep available.

We give our students specific advice in key areas to help with their AP Calculus AB, BC and Statistics exams. Course content varies depends on the needs of individual students, but in general we help them to

  • Remember and choose the right part of their math knowledge
  • Handle different styles of questions
  • Build mathematical arguments to solve substantial problems
  • Apply standard mathematical models to the real world
  • Use the right mathematical language at the right times
  • Find the most efficient ways to solve problems

Course Flow

Our unique pedagogy and student-oriented approach helps students see relevance in the subject, and furthers their understanding of the world around them. Not only will our AP tutors review fundamental subject areas and highlight topics that most students struggle on, but they also give students test taking tips and tricks.

AP Calculus is one of the finest tests to check the practical, theoretical and imaginative application of concepts. Trainers are fully equipped to teach such challenging tests. Tips and tricks including short cut methods are discussed to crack the test which makes this tough test a breeze for students.

AP Calculus AB topics are as follows

  • Functions, Graphs, and Limits; Analysis of graphs.
  • Limits of functions.
  • Comparing relative magnitudes of functions and their rates of change.
  • Continuity as a property of functions.
  • Derivatives and its applications.
  • Riemann sums and definite integrals.
  • Finding the area of a region, the volume of a solid with known cross sections, the average value of a function, the distance traveled by a particle along a line, and accumulated change from a rate of change.
  • Fundamental Theorem of Calculus; Use of the Fundamental Theorem to evaluate definite integrals and represent a particular antiderivative.

Additional Topics for AP Calculus BC are as follows

  • Polynomial Approximations
  • Series
