Getting into elite colleges and universities is a goal for many high school students. In simple terms, an IBDP student could possibly have a 4.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale simply because they took more rigorous courses – which adds to their advantage. Evidently, the academic expectations of the Ivy League universities is well above a GPA of 3.5.
